A inter teen transition

A nostalgia that I definitely don't want to revisit but saw this guy standing in front of one of those KGF hostels aka inter hostels finishing his exams. He stood there holding his rolled bed, that two-year-old bucket, study chair, and a study pad with random scribblings. Yes, those scribblings might seem random to someone who hasn't been to that world but they do represent something intimate, his loneliness, his trace of memories.

I saw this little freedom smile on this young man, but little did he know that he was stepping into a world where a much wider spectrum of days he had to live, oh boy been there done that, I thought.

I hope this transition period lasts for you boy: more days of home food, three times a day. No more rushing to the only bakery on campus to have that one lasting bite of egg puff with your carefully saved-up pocket money.

I wish you more nights to have that wholesome feeling of going to bed with fresh bed sheets, no more early morning hustle to stand in the queue to just freshen up.

I wish you the feeling of getting to wear perfectly ironed clothes with a refreshing fragrance, yes you will miss the bathroom singer band but you will get to see them one day on stage doing their passionate stuff.

No more nights of loneliness, I wish you more nights of cuddling with your parents before you set to cross the borders and boundaries.

cheers to the more nights and days!

PS: Adulting is hard, yet inevitable!
